There should be no transverse joints at the bottom of the duct, and the longitudinal joints should be avoided as far as possible. Large-sized ducts should be made of whole plates to minimize reinforcing bars, and reinforcing bars must be installed, and reinforcing bars in the duct should not be used. The joint angle or corner bite shall be used as far as possible in air control. No button bite shall be used for clean air ducts above grade 6. Corrosion protection must be repaired if galvanized layer at bite, rivet hole and flange welding are damaged.
