1 Water Supply
Feedwater of animal level 3 biosafety laboratory (ABSL-3) and level 4 biosafety laboratory (BSL-4/ABSL-4) is supplied by special high cut-off tank to avoid direct connection with domestic water network. In order to prevent backflow, check valves are installed on the water supply pipe of the laboratory system and near the bearing tap.
A water level alarm should be installed on the high water tank, and water must not be absent in the water supply pipeline.
The pipes in the laboratory system are painted with yellow and other striking colors to distinguish them from those in the general system and are marked "No Drinking".

2 Drainage
The drainage systems in general areas and polluted areas should be separated. Laboratories, especially the level-4 laboratories, the drainage systems of heating sterilization (120'C, 30 min) and chlorine sterilization should also be separated.
The third and fourth grade laboratories shall not set up floor drains except in shower rooms, animal rooms, dissection rooms and corridors where large animals stay.
Drainage from the protective areas of the third and fourth grade laboratories should be collected through special pipes and sterilized in separate installations.
High-tech filters should be installed at the outlet of ventilation pipes of the drainage system of the third-level and fourth-level laboratories, while two-level higher education filters should be installed at the outlet of the ventilation pipes of the fourth-level and animal-level laboratories.
The drainage pipes of the third and fourth grade laboratories should be set up, and the transparent casing pipes of the fourth grade should be set up.
If the drainage is very small, drainage can be discharged into containers without drainage pipes, and then sterilized by high-pressure sterilizer before entering and leaving.
3 Gas Supply
The special gas in the laboratory is supplied by high-pressure cylinders, which are located outside the laboratory and are piped to various outlets. The cylinders must not enter the laboratory.
Positive pressure suit biosafety laboratory should be equipped with emergency support gas tank at the same time.
Vacuum systems use individual small vacuum pumps, not public networks. When a centralized system has to be used, filters are installed near each use site and can be replaced. The exhaust of the vacuum system can be directly ventilated to the atmosphere.
4 Electricity
The second-level laboratory should not use low F = level, and the third-level laboratory should be connected with the first-level load power supply (so-called double-circuit power supply). The fourth-level laboratory connected with the first-level load contains particularly important load power supply. The so-called special important load refers to the power supply that will threaten personal safety, sample safety, experimental safety and environmental safety.
The control of power equipment must be automatic and manual. Important load is designed according to 24 hours full operation.
The illumination of biological safety clean room is higher than that of general clean room. Waterproof sockets and lamps should be used. The lamps should be replaced in the technical interlayer outside the room. Emergency lighting should be provided for no less than 30 minutes.
